Free Webinar for Grades K-12!!! Artemis Learning Pathway – What Is Artemis?

NASA EPDC has designed 8 weeks of Educator PD sessions and companion Student Engagement sessions for you to be inspired by and engaged in the upcoming Artemis I launch. The educator sessions will be held at 7 pm EST on a Wednesday and the companion student session will be held the following day, Thursday 10 am EST. These sessions will be interactive and is designed with the intent of helping educators implement the topics in their classrooms.  We highly recommend that all educators be prepared with materials in advance for the PD and for their classrooms. Specific materials list for each topic is shared below.

Week 1- What is Artemis?

In this online PD session, you will learn how to bring the excitement of Artemis- an ongoing space mission ran by NASA with the goal of landing the first female astronaut, first person of color, and the next male astronaut on the Moon's South Pole by 2024. In this new era of Artemis, the twin sister of Apollo and the Goddess of the Moon, we are going back to the Moon! We invite all educators and their students to join in with us for an hour of engagement as we highlight the Choose Your Landing Site hands-on activity taken from Landing Humans on the Moon Educator Guide. This session will allow participants to determine the most suitable landing site using NASA topographic maps and data.
