HASP launched this morning at 8:03 am mountain time from Fort Sumner, NM
The High Altitude Student Platform (HASP) is designed to carry up to twelve student built and designed payloads to an altitude of ~36 km with a flight duration of 15-20 hours using a small volume, zero pressure balloon. HASP is used to flight-test compact satellites or prototypes and to fly other small experiments.
HASP flight program is supported by the NASA Balloon Program Office (BPO) and the Louisiana Space Consortium (LaSPACE).
