The proposal period for In-Flight STEM Downlinks Expedition 74 will be open from Monday, March 17, 2025, to Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
In-flight STEM Downlinks allow participants and facilitators to interact with astronauts onboard the International Space Station. These opportunities are available to both formal and informal U.S.-based organizations.
Expedition 74 downlinks will tentatively occur between September 2025 and March 2026.
IMPORTANT: The deadline for completed proposal
submissions is 12 p.m. CT on April 29, 2025
Virtual question-and-answer sessions will be offered throughout the proposal period. We invite you to attend the session that works best with your schedule to gain answers and feedback on your proposal, Impact Statement, and other parts of the application process.
How To Apply
You must do the following for your application to be considered complete:
Download both the Planning Guide and Expedition 74 Proposal Form.
Fill out the Expedition 74 Proposal Form.
Create a profile in NASA STEM Gateway.
Register for the current In-Flight STEM Downlink engagement in NASA STEM Gateway.
Upload the completed proposal form and supporting materials by the proposal deadline – 12 p.m. CT on April 29, 2025.
Note: Your application will not be evaluated or reviewed if it isn’t uploaded to NASA STEM Gateway.
