Intrepid Museum: Aviation Science (Grades 3–8)

These programs are designed for students and teachers learning from home. Programs are offered daily and led by Museum Educators. We request that teachers register on behalf of their class. Please register at least two business days in advance, using the links below.

Virtual Event: Students will discuss the parts of a plane and how nature influences shape and design. Educators will demonstrate the four forces of flight, and students will experiment with these concepts before creating their own simple flying machines. Fundamental concepts such as Bernoulli's principle and aerodynamics will also be discussed.
