NASA’s Moon Pod Essay contest challenges students to imagine and describe (in an essay) what they would explore on a one-week expedition to the Moon’s South Pole and the type of team, skills, and equipment their specific expedition will need.

Essays will be divided into three grade level groups (K-4, 5-8, and 9-12) with word counts adjusted by grade level. Students can sign up individually or teachers can register their entire class.

Nine finalists will win a trip to Johnson Space Center in Texas and the grand prize winner in each age category gets to attend the Artemis I launch at Kennedy Space Center in Florida!
