Smart Skies is a NASA mathematics program that teaches students about the challenges that air traffic controllers experience every day. Students’ skills in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) are put to the test as they model, investigate, analyze, and resolve air traffic conflicts using exciting free hands-on experiments and game simulations. Students first act out the problem to find the solution. The six mathematics methods that support the experiment address diverse student learning styles. At home or at school this is a great way to experience math.
