Free Webinar for K-12!!! Artemis Learning Pathway: Getting There

Free 1-hr Webinar for K-12 Educators!

Background: NASA EPDC has designed 8 weeks of Educator PD sessions and companion Student Engagement sessions for you to be inspired by and engaged in the upcoming Artemis I launch. The educator sessions will be held at 7 pm EST on Wednesdays and the companion student session will be held the following day, Thursday 10 am EST. These sessions are interactive and designed with the intent of helping educators implement these topics in their classrooms.  We highly recommend that all educators be prepared with materials in advance for the PD and for their classrooms.

Week 2- Getting There

In this online PD session, you will learn how to bring the excitement of how NASA is going to get back to the Moon in your class. NASA's Space Launch System (SLS) will be the world's most powerful rocket for a new era of human exploration beyond Earth’s orbit into deep space. Orion is NASA’s spacecraft that will carry the astronauts back to the Moon. To bring this concept to reality in your classroom join us for an hour of engagement as we highlight the Design a Crew Module hands-on activity taken from the Crew Transportation with Orion Educator Guide. This session will allow participants to understand the engineering design process and build a model of Orion’s Crew Module.
