Angeli Sandoval: New Opportunity from Far Away Worlds

This week NYSG is highlighting one of our New York Space Grant (NYSG) Women in STEM (WiS) Fellowship recipients, Angeli Sandoval. Angeli is an astrophysics master’s student at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City. Angeli was awarded the WiS Fellowship, which is competitively awarded up to $5,000 in research fellowship(s) to students in STEM working on undergraduate or graduate research projects. The intent of this fellowship is to support students working on NASA-related projects in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The intent of this award is to attract, recruit and train U.S. citizens, especially women, underrepresented minorities, and persons with disabilities, for careers in aerospace science and technology.

NYSG Opportunity Grants are state-wide competitively awarded grants to support New York primary, secondary, and post-secondary educators and higher education students working on NASA-related projects in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Each applicant can request up to $2,000 in funding, available on a recurring basis during the fiscal year.

This is a free 40min webinar to learn about NYSG Opportunity Grants and the application process.

Air and Space Anywhere

Anytime, anywhere you can enjoy a variety of online programs, stories, videos, activities, virtual tours, and resources from the National Air and Space Museum. Video episodes, podcasts, virtual tours, and games are available.

Online Intrepid Education

These science programs are designed for students and teachers learning from home. Programs are offered daily and led by Museum Educators.
